2. The software is MIT licensed
The FileHeron library and command line tool are released under the MIT licence, and that licence — not this page — governs your use of the code. You may use, modify and redistribute it, including commercially, subject to its terms.
The canonical copies are the package on pub.dev and the source on GitHub.
3. Run it responsibly
FileHeron has no authentication and no access control. It is built for serving your own files on your own machine or network. Exposing it directly to the public internet, or using it to serve material you have no right to distribute, is your responsibility and not something the software will stop you doing.
4. No warranty
The software is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, as set out in the MIT licence. Features this site describes as unfinished or in development are exactly that, and may change or never ship.
5. This website
Documentation here is provided in good faith and kept in step with the published package, but we do not guarantee it is free of error or that the site is always available. If something here contradicts the source, the source is right — please tell us.
6. Changes
These terms may be updated; the date at the top of this page shows when they last were.
